Battle of the Bands: Creem Circus vs The Burdens

October 20 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

8$8
bands

WLFR 91.7FM Lake Fred Radio and the Stockton Performing Arts Center present BATTLE OF THE BANDS!

Two of the area’s finest bands will face off in the ultimate musical battle! You, the audience, get to choose the winner!

CREEM CIRCUS
Do you know who “your favorite band’s favorite band” is? It’s probably the most glamtastic band to come out since BOWIE wiped the lightning bolt off his face. They are from Philadelphia, PA and Creem Circus is what they call themselves (after their two favorite 70’s rock magazines, of course…but you knew that)! Hear them and you will hear original tunes with riffs and choruses that rocket you back to 1974. See them and you will be blinded by the sequins glued to the sides of their homemade platform shoes and glitter bug-eyed glasses. Meet them and you will feel the inexplicable urge to run away with the Circus! The Creem Circus!!

THE BURDENS
The Burdens are a punk rock band from the Jersey shore consisting of Lead Singer/Guitarist Johnny “Spanky” Burden, Drummer Rob Albert, Bassist Jay Ramirez and Guitarist Bill Ridenour. The Burdens were founded by Singer/Guitarist and main song writer Johnny Burden in 2017, rising from the Ashes of Atlantic City Ska Punk Band No Comply. In 2020 The Burdens released their Debut EP “Greetings from The Burdens” recorded By Pete Steinkopf of the Bouncing Souls. In January 2021 two members of the Burdens were involved in a Fiery car crash in which Guitar player Bill saved Johnny’s life. Now after recent line-up changes the Burdens are back with a vengeance!
